Stantonbury School is celebrating another successful year of A level results, with students’ achievements reflecting the school’s continued upward journey. Value-added scores improved for the third year running with students making progress broadly in line with national averages across both academic and applied courses.
Headteacher Ben Wilson praised the hard work of students and staff:
“We are incredibly proud of what our students have achieved this year. These results are the outcome of determination, resilience, and a real commitment to learning from both students and staff. They demonstrate that our school community is moving forward together and that our young people can compete and succeed at the highest level.”
Headline achievements include:
- Applied General average grade: Merit+
- 8% increase in students achieving a Level 3 maths qualification
- Disadvantaged gap closed – students from disadvantaged backgrounds performing in line with their peers
- 100% pass rate for girls
- 24% of all grades across A level and BTEC at grade B or higher
Ben Wilson added:
“We want to thank our staff for their dedication and our students for their determination to succeed. Whether heading off to university, further training, an apprenticeship or employment, they take with them skills, values, and confidence that will serve them well in the future. Today we celebrate not just their results, but the character and commitment that got them there.”
